Whether an athlete or weekend warrior; body fat is our greatest adversary preventing us achieving our athletic potential. We go to war in a relentless charge against an enemy which lies within; just under the skin. With innumerable theories and a plethora of contradicting opinions, how do we know what to believe?
Strive for a work/life/sleep balance. The true order is sleep, life, then work...achieving good sleep habits makes work easier and life better!The importance of sleep is underestimated. The bravado associated with little or no sleep is endemic. Many do not sleep well or for long enough.
Are we guilty of employing the principle ‘more is more’, especially concerning exercise? Unless an elite endurance athlete, marathon sessions lack intensity and technique. Choose few exercises and practise more. The earlier we learn and practice the principle, ‘Less is More’, the sooner we will make progress and achieve life balance.
Mindset is focus, mindset is determination; mindset is self-discipline. The mindset principle is our ability to summon this state at will and maintain for time. We will drift in and out of this state like a dream we awaken from and consciously return to. The more broken the dream state the greater difficulty we have finding our way back. To become proficient is a life-long quest.
